What's Happening With Our Web Site?

We decided it was time to rework and redesign to bring you a first class site filled with the sort of good information you would like to see. You will find the new site easy to navigate, informative, educational and fun. Let me give you an idea of what you can expect when you visit. In the menu you will find the following: About Us, Membership, Condo Chronicle, What's Happening, Members Only, Advertisers Index, and Links.

"About us" will provide contact information, the president's message, listing of directors including their areas of responsibility, the constitution and bylaws of the Pacific Condominium Association of British Columbia plus our mission statement, including the benefits of membership.

"Membership" section will provide information on the three different levels of membership: strata, individual and corporate and will include on-line request capability allowing interested parties to request further details on any of the three types.

"Condo Chronicle" will provide the articles from the current issue of our publication and an archive of past articles. A page will explain and list advertising prices.

"What's happening" is really going to be a happening kind of area and a real potpourri of topics. Here you will find a list of all up and coming seminars, mini forums, meetings and courses being offered by the Association, plus an area specifically designed for you to contribute! This page can be what you want it to be, from announcing a special event like a holiday craft sale, to special meetings, coming events or even your favourite BBQ recipe. Tell us the good things about your Strata that make it a great place to live, ideas that simplify everyday living or helpful hints for homemakers. Help us to make this site what you want it to be and it really will be a happening place!

Now for the exciting part, we are going to have a Members Only page. This area will be accessed by a password that has been assigned to each individual strata corporation. Along with the annual financial report and the minutes of board meetings, annual general meetings and special general meetings, this site will contain all correspondence between the Pacific Condominium Association and the provincial and municipal governments. For example, at present there is correspondence regarding the water meter situation and, on the provincial level, a discussion paper on the licensing of strata managers. This area will also have a question and answer section that will deal with many of the most common and/or frustrating problems faced by people trying to live in a strata world. This is all good stuff and of interest to each and every strata owner.

"Advertiser's Index" will be a listing, by category, of all Chronicle and web page advertisers. A real bonus when you're looking for help in a hurry!

"Links" will prove to be an invaluable tool allowing you easy access to a wealth of information from various sites that are all pertinent to condominium dwellers.
