From the Strata Property Act, Division 2—Section 126, Amending Bylaws.

“The bylaws of a strata corporation may be changed, repealed, replaced, added to or otherwise amended by complying with the requirements of this Division.” Amendments to bylaws must be approved at an annual or special general meeting by a resolution passed by a ¾ vote. These amendments do not come into effect until they are filed in the Land Title office. They must be filed within 60 days of the amendment being approved.

Two copies must be made for the registration process as well as Strata Property Act Form I Amendment to Bylaws. The Form must be completed and signed, by two strata council members, in black ink. Cost of registration of bylaws is $21.50 that may be paid by cash or cheque. Hours for registering these bylaws are from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
