How to get a copy of the Strata Property Act

We have been selling our members copies of the Strata Property Act since it became law in 2000. The law firm McCarthy Tetrault kindly allowed us to copy their unofficial consolidated version, which included regulations in place in 2000.

There have been some changes to the Act and more regulations have been added since then. For copyright reasons we are not able to provide the updated McCarthy Tetrault version to our members. However we will continue to sell copies of the 2000 version. Purchase of the updated regulations will make this version current.

We recommend that Strata Councils buy a copy from Canada Law Books. They will supply the current version of McCarthy Tetrault’s Annotated Strata Property Act. They will provide supplements as they arise at a small cost. The cost is $159 and it may be ordered on the web from:
